Good bye Stumbleupon

Today I have decided to uninstall the Stumbleupon tollbar on my webbrowser. Think of it as an experiment, without all the actual experimentation. I am going to see what effects it has on me and my surfing habits. I’ll check back in a day or to and let you know how things change.

Speaking of Electricity

Thinking of my electricity being turned off reminded me of one of the greatest inventors of all time(At lest in my mind), and how no one would need worry about paying for electricity ever again if his dreams had come true. A man ridiculed by his peers because of his beliefs. This man is Nicola Tesla. This one man was the first to pioneer many of the technologies that we use in our everyday lives. So why did I not learn of this great man in school. I was taught of Thomas Edison even though he was nothing compared to Tesla. Is it like this in all countries or just this once “great” nation of “America”(why is The United States referred to as America any way?). It angers me to know that my children will be taught of the “great inventor” Edison, and not the man that is responsible  for the alternating current powering the very establishment they will be taught in. So if you don’t know much about Tesla then you must be wondering what is this dream of his I speak of? Simply put he wanted to provide the entire world with wireless electric power, but his dreams where cut short once the men in power found out that their could be no possible way to charge a per use fee on this service. So they cut all his funding before he could even fully demonstrate his wireless energy towers(Wardenclyffe Tower) to the world. Something that men like Edison and J. Pierpont Morgan didn’t want to happen because they were  nothing more than greedy business men looking to make money, while Tesla’s only reason for his gifts to the world was to make the lifes of everyone easier. Imagine what the world would be like to day if this great man would of been able to continue his work instead of being shunned and  portrayed as an evil mad genus in some horrible superman cartoon.

Then comes the bad news

Yesterday I found out that my electrical sevices might be turned off soon. So if I don’t post anything new for a few weeks you’ll know why. But on the bright side I’ve been trying to learn some C++ the past couple days, and feel that I’m doing pretty well. I hope to have something better to write about before I lose power. Maybe I’ll just get bored again and have some of my artwork for everyone to enjoy. Thats It for now I’ll try to post some more before I go to sleep.

Look what happens

Well I got a little bored this morning, and decided to try my hand at G.I.M.P what a better subject than my hand. I present to you my very first piece of artwork since my high school art class.

I don’t feel like I’m finished with it yet, and I’m still not tired so i might have some more  work up before the end of the night.

For those of you not yet informed about what the G.I.M.P is. It is on open source image manipulation program along the lines of photoshop. So if you feel like trying this out for yourself head on over to www.gimp.org an get yourself a copy.
